Troubleshooting · Multicam
Multicam didn’t switch angles
Short answer
Multicam needs three things: Accessibility for Cuddle, Premiere Pro shortcuts for the multicam commands, and the sequence you’re editing open and active. The message your AI gets tells you which one is missing.
Match the message
- Accessibility permission is required for Cuddle: turn on Cuddle in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility, or click Open Settings in Cuddle’s Settings panel.
- Assign a Premiere shortcut for the requested multicam command: give that command a key in Premiere › Keyboard Shortcuts and click OK, or run the Cuddle installer again to set it up with you. See the setup.
- Premiere's selected shortcut preset could not be resolved: quit and reopen Premiere Pro so it records which shortcut preset you use, then ask again.
- Premiere shortcut access is not ready: allow Documents for node in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Files & Folders.
- Cannot identify a unique Premiere shortcut profile: Premiere Pro has more than one user profile on this Mac. Cuddle needs exactly one so it knows whose shortcuts to use.
- Open the target sequence before switching its multicam angle(s): open the sequence you want to edit in Premiere Pro, then ask again.
- Premiere shortcut key could not be mapped to the current keyboard layout: choose a different key for that command in your shortcut preset.
Switched to the wrong camera?
Check that each Select Camera shortcut matches its camera number in your preset. Cuddle presses the key you assigned to the camera your AI asked for.
Still not switching?
Premiere Pro sometimes ignores a key press. Cuddle checks a frame after every switch and tries up to three times, then tells your AI which step didn’t take. Ask your AI to try that step again.
Didn’t fix it? Ask Bear.
