Set up multicam
Short answer
Cuddle switches camera angles by pressing Premiere Pro’s own multicam keyboard shortcuts. The installer sets them up with you: it opens Premiere Pro and its Keyboard Shortcuts, and shows you which key to give Multi-Camera Enable.
Set it up during install
Open Premiere Pro from the installer. After Cuddle installs, the installer shows Set Up Multi-Cam when Premiere Pro still needs a multicam shortcut. Click the Open button for your Premiere Pro. If you have Premiere Pro and Premiere Pro (Beta), each gets its own button.
Let Cuddle open Keyboard Shortcuts. Cuddle opens Premiere Pro and its Keyboard Shortcuts for you. The installer moves to the top-right corner of your screen to guide you, and a glow shows where to look.

- Keyboard Shortcuts
Give Multi-Camera Enable a key. Search for Multi-Camera, then drag Enable onto the key the installer suggests, like F12, in the keyboard picture. Any free key works.
Check the camera keys. Premiere Pro’s default shortcuts already put Select Camera 1 to 9 on the number keys. If any are missing, the installer tells you which: search for Select Camera and drag each one onto its number.
Click OK. Cuddle sees the new key as soon as Premiere Pro saves it, and the installer says Multi-cam is ready. Click Next. There’s no preset to save.
Your other shortcuts stay as they were. If Premiere Pro leaves some out when it saves, which can happen before a project has opened, Cuddle puts them back.
Set it up later
Not ready yet? Click Set up later. Run the Cuddle installer again anytime and it picks up multicam setup where you left off, or give Multi-Camera Enable a key in Keyboard Shortcuts yourself.
Before your AI switches angles
- Accessibility stays on for Cuddle. The installer asks for it, and multicam needs it to press the keys.
- The sequence you’re editing is open and active in Premiere Pro. Cuddle switches angles only there, and won’t switch sequences for you.
Building a multicam edit
Your AI can sync your cameras and microphones by matching the same spoken moment in each recording’s transcript. It builds a synced sequence, then cuts your edit from it in a separate sequence and switches angles for each section.
What you’ll see
While your AI switches angles, a soft lavender glow lines Premiere Pro’s window. Premiere Pro can be in the background the whole time, so you can keep working in other apps. After each switch, Cuddle checks a frame from the timeline to confirm the picture really changed, and tries again if Premiere Pro missed the key. Each switch takes about a second.
