How does my AI find moments in transcripts?
Short answer
Premiere Pro transcribes your clips with its own Speech to Text. Cuddle hands your AI every word of the transcript with its exact timing, so it can find the right line and cut right there.
How it works
When your AI needs a transcript, Cuddle asks Premiere Pro to make one if the clip doesn’t have it yet. Your AI then reads the words and their timing, decides which moments matter, and Cuddle cuts on those exact times.
Transcription happens in Premiere Pro on your Mac. Long clips can take a few minutes the first time.
Premiere Pro’s transcript also tells which speaker says each line. Your AI can use that to find one person’s lines, or to follow whoever is talking when it switches camera angles.
Searching the words
Cuddle’s transcript search matches the exact words. To find something said in other words, your AI reads the transcript itself.
One transcript per microphone
When a clip has several microphones on separate channels, like an interview recorded into one camera, Cuddle can transcribe each microphone on its own. Your project and media stay unchanged while it does. Each microphone’s transcript can include other voices it picked up, just like in Premiere Pro.
