Are Cuddle’s captions real captions?

Short answer

Cuddle makes titles and captions as styled text on a video track. Captions are timed to the words and burned into your video. They aren’t entries on Premiere Pro’s Captions track, which viewers can switch on and off.

How Cuddle makes text

Cuddle builds every title from Premiere Pro’s own Basic Title template, then sets the font, size, color, outline, spacing, and position you ask for. For captions, your AI uses the transcript to time one title per phrase, usually at the bottom center of the frame.

Once placed, they’re ordinary Premiere Pro titles. Restyle them in Effect Controls, move them, or keyframe their motion like any other clip.

Good to know

  • Any font installed on your Mac works. Ask for it by name, like “Futura Bold.”
  • Your AI writes the text, so it can fix typos or translate captions into another language.
  • Captions can show one word or one phrase at a time.
  • Your AI can animate a title’s position or size with keyframes.
  • If a font isn’t found on your Mac, Cuddle tells your AI, so it can use another.
  • Lines break where you ask. Text too big for the frame is refused instead of cut off.
  • Your project remembers its title style, so the next titles match.
  • Because they’re titles, they don’t export as a separate caption file like SRT.
