Question · Editing
What can my AI change on the timeline?
Short answer
Your AI can move, trim, and remove clips, closing the gap or leaving it, and turn clips off without removing them. It can also nest clips, build new sequences, and copy or delete a sequence.
Clips
- Move a clip to a new time, or trim its start and end.
- Slip a clip, so it shows a different part of its source in the same spot.
- Remove clips and close the gap, or leave the gap in place.
- Turn a clip off without removing it, like Premiere Pro’s Enable switch.
- Rename a clip on the timeline.
- Nest two or more clips into a sequence of their own.
Sequences
- Build a new sequence that matches your footage, so vertical footage gets a vertical sequence.
- Lay parts of your clips into a sequence one after another, straight from the original clips.
- Copy a sequence, so your AI can try an idea without touching the original.
- Delete a sequence you no longer need.
- Move the playhead to a moment you want to look at.
Layouts
Your AI can stack clips on tracks above each other and change their position and size. That’s how it builds a picture in picture or a split screen.
